News-Updates - A Busy Couple of Week-ends in the Capitol (Wellington) NZ.

First up - Last week-end, Sun 5th May saw the very first WELLINGTON INDIE FEST ( ) take place at the famous 'ValHalla' club on Vivien Street. Over 10 bands and solo artists performed through out the afternoon and evening, then after some stunning performances, it was our band, Sugar Gliders, fronted by the musical genius of Steve Wright, that took to the stage to close the show (no pressure)! In the pic you will see me (Richard Aslett) as a small dot (face obscured by the microphone stand) somewhere behind the drum kit! Front middle is the enigmatic Steve (who blew his amp at the end of the second number - thank ValHalla for the house stage Marshall amp that took over the reins!!). Then to the right you see the calm cool collected Paul Roper on Bass guitar, holding the deep note rhythms together. A great afternoon/evening of LIVE music. Thanks to all the other bands that played for making this the success it was. Hope to see you all in the not too distant future! Watch out for future performances.

    Cheers, Richard
