Fashion, Art and Mangaweka Day - this Saturday from 10am
Helping celebrate Mangaweka Day on Sat 5 March 2022, the 'Yellow Church' Gallery presents a selection of original Artworks and special collectables for your perusal and purchase. Included are many pieces supplied by the former PJ's Antiques emporium in Cambridge, so anyone familiar with that outlet will know there will be some great items to add to your collections!. Also on offer will be an array of items on offer in our 'Back-Room Garage Sale'. Add that to our usual range of Artworks, photography, gift cards, Mucsic CD's, wood Carvings, Ceramics (and the rest!) and there is sure to be something of interest for you and your acquaintances!
Gallery owner Richard Aslett and assistant Michael Cathels will also be serving customers in their trademark Walk-Shorts and Socks. "Our iconic clothes started off as a bit of April's Fools fun, which then gathered media attention (featuring in several magazines & newspapers) and now customers expect to find us wearing them all the time" said Richard with a smile "so, not to disappoint, we will be wearing the full 'uniform' all week-end and beyond!"
Over the road on SH1, in the Museum grounds, Mangaweka Day will offer a yearly chance for people, past and present, to gather and swap stories over a shared picnic lunch and social refreshments. Bring a chair and a shareable meal. Tea & Coffee provided. Further info can be acquired from Alison of Mangaweka Heritage at: email@example.com
The weather forecast is great, so hop in your car and make your way to Mangaweka this week-end.
[Covid restrictions apply, sign-in, masks etc. Thanks in advance]
